nursing unit. The aims of the research were to analyze the influence of knowledg
e , attitude , the availability of fixed
procedures , leadership and coworkers on handover , and to analyze the most domi
nant communication variables at
the time handovers affecting handover inpatient room of Hasanuddin University Ho
spital. The research was an
analytic survey study with cross sectional study design . The samples consisted
of 130 nurses selected using total
sampling technique,i.e to take all the research populations as the samples. The
data were obtained using
questionnaires and the data were analyzed using Pearson correlation test and mul
tiple linear regression test . The
results of the research indicate that knowledge, attitude , availability of fixe
d procedures , leadership and coworkers
has influence on handover . The most dominant variable affecting handover is kno
wledge
