Dear Sir,
I am a lecturer in chemistery at Punjab College of Science Islamabad. I am writing this letter to
request a change in my shift schedule from morning to evening. My wife is very sick. She has a
serious problem in her lower Vertebrae and the doctor has suggested to visit him for proper check up
on a regular basis. So the change in my shift will allow me to take care of my wife and it will save me
from the dilemma of compromising my job and family.
I fully understand the requirements of the job, as I have been working at this institution for the past
one years and will do my best to continue working to the standard of the institution. I have spoken to
my immediate superior, and he has encouraged me to request a change of shift.
