Dear Parents, When individuals unite together towards a common goal, strong communities are formed that as a collective can accomplish more than one person alone. The same is true in our schools where partnerships between parents, educators and children enhance learning and ultimately enrich and drive our kids success. That is why were asking you to contribute and share your thoughts and expertise to better our childrens educational experience by joining the Catholic School Parents Council (CSPC). The Transfiguration CSPC host and supports a wealth of initiatives that improves the physical and mental wellbeing of our schools children including: Community-building events such as the BBQ, Canlan Family Skating & Christmas Family Fun Night Fruit and Veggie Fridays Family Mindfulness Workshop Ballroom & Hip Hop Dance Purchase and installation of schoolyard basketball nets Some of our future goals include Working with teachers to provide supporting learning resources Continue to build strong relationships between our school and our community Improving technologies in the school Help students and families develop the skills necessary to live healthier lives Please join CPSC and help make a difference in the education, health, and welfare of our children. Simply download and complete the nomination form found on our new website transfigurationofourlordparentcouncil.weebly.com and return it to the school office by September 9, 2016. Hard copies of the nomination forms are available upon request and will also be sent home with students in September. Attached is a list of elected positions. Parents may also participate by becoming voting members. Voting times and location will be announced early September. There will also be an opportunity to vote at the Annual General Meeting for CSPC on Tuesday, September 20.
