1-Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu (Mother Teresa)

Agnes WAS BORN in Albania, on August


26th, 1910. She WAS a catholic nun and
she FOUNDED the Missionaries of
Charity in Calcutta, India, in 1950. She
HELPED the poor, the sick, the orphans
and the dying people of India and other
countries. Her congregation WAS active
in 133 (one hundred and thirty three)
countries.
In 1928, she CHANGED her name to
Teresa. She GOT the Nobel Peace Prize
in 1979 and she WON the Bharat Ratna
Award in 1980 for her humanitarian
work.
She DIED in Calcutta, India, on
September 5th, 1997.
