Pfizer Names Ken W. Cole Senior Vice President of


Government Relations

NEW YORK, N.Y., May 21 – Pfizer announced today that Ken W. Cole
will join the company as Senior Vice President, Government
Relations effective July 1. Mr. Cole joins Pfizer after nine
years at General Motors where he served as the head of Global
Public Policy and Government Relations.

Mr. Cole will report to Sally Susman, Senior Vice President,


Policy, External Affairs and Communications. He will succeed
Anthony Principi, currently Senior Vice President, Government
Relations, who announced in December 2009 that he would be
transitioning to a senior advisor role.

Mr. Cole has extensive experience in public policy, government


relations and public affairs. Prior to General Motors, he held
similar positions at Honeywell, AlliedSignal, Union Texas
Petroleum and Standard Oil of Indiana. Earlier in his career, he
served as regional counsel for the American Insurance Association
and served in senior staff roles in the Texas State government.

a strong reputation for working effectively on both sides of the
aisle and for his leadership in building coalitions,” said Sally

Mr. Cole received his law degree from the University of Houston
and has a B.A. in Business Administration from The University of
Texas at Austin.
