JOLANDA ČEPLAK

 I´m going to talk about Jolanda Čeplak.

 She is one of the greatest athletes in
Slovenia.
 I chose Jolanda Čeplak because I like
sport and especially athletics and I
hope she will win again in the future.
 She was born in Celje in 1976. She is
tall with long blond hair. Her nickname
is Joli. When she was a child, she
wanted to become a good sports
person and win a medal on important
competition. She was still in primary
school, when she started with cross-
country.
 Soon she ran all the distances from 400m to
3000m. She was hard-working and stubborn
and she was always among the best athletes
in the country. In Vienna she broke the world
record in the 800m indoor race. She was also
a European indoor champion and in 2004 she
got the bronze Oljmpic medal in Athens.
 She is very proud of it. Then she was
accused of taking forbidden
substances and she wasn`t allowed to
take part in competitions for two years.
Now she can train again and she is
determined to win again. In her free
time she likes reading books and
watching tennis.She lives in Monaco.
 She likes the weather there because
she can train also in winter.
