INTRODUCITON

And today we're comparison Catalonia and Scotland.
Catalonia is in the north of Spain. Is the one of the 17 autonomous community of Spain.
Is a nation because has a own language, a few different traditions of Spain, a flag and an own
gastronomy.
In Catalonia speaks Catalan, and in Scotland people speaks Scottish.
In Catalonia the majority of Catalan people live in Barcelona, Girona Tarragona and Lleida. But in
Scotland, the majority people live in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Catalonia is the most visited place of
Spain. And Scotland are very visited country.

ITS VEGETATION

Its vegetation is formed by the vineyard the olive tree and the cereals, also called the Mediterranean
trilogy . And Scotland has got a lot of wild, mountainous countryside... In conclusion !Are a green
country!
Scotland. Also is surrounded for the Artic ocean. But Catalonia is coasted by the Mediterranean sea.
In Catalonia, the weather is warmer than Scotland.

THE TRADITIONAL CLOTHES OF A CATALAN AND OF A SCOT


A Catalan clothes itself with a black trousers, a white shirt, a girdle and a red traditional Catalan hat.
A Scot clothes itself with a skirt of pictures, a few socks up to the knees, with a white shirt and a
black jacket. Sometimes takes a bagpipe.

THE TRADITIONAL GAMES


Sport is very important in Scotland. There are Highland Games with some familiar events and some
unusual ones. Our traditional games are petanque, Catalan bowling...

FAMOUS PEOPLE
There are a lot of famous Scottish people. For example: Charles Rennie Mackintosh. -- he was an
architect and designer.
But in Catalonia there are a lot of famous catalan people too. For example: Rafa Nadal, Judit Mascó
Lluís Roura, Lluís Vilà...
