Bartholin

Bartholin gland are two organs the size of a pea which are located under the ski
n of the genitals in women. They are located on either side of the folds of skin
(labia) that surround the vagina and urethra. Normally you can not see or feel
these glands.
Bartholin gland produce a small amount of fluid to humidify the external genital
s or vulva. This fluid comes from the two tubules are located near the vaginal o
pening. These are called Bartholin ducts.
Bartholin cyst is achieved by blocking the accumulation of fluid in the duct and
gland. Bartholin cyst can vary in size from one bead to the size of an orange.
Usually have a slow growth. An infected Bartholin gland or an infected duct call
ed Bartholin's abscess.
Curiously, both Bartholin glands can be affected simultaneously.
Bartholin cysts are usually painless, small and require no treatment. Need to th
