Tearful goodbye

She just stopped,

In the middle of the street,
Held her hand to her heart,
And dropped at my feet.

I stood very still,

Just for a second or two,
Then bent down to help her,
As the cold wind blew.

Tears leaked,
From two pairs of eyes,
But from just one mouth,
Came a breath of goodbyes.
Everyone watched,
As she drifted away,
But before she gave up,
She held my hand to say.

Remember this hunni,

I will never really leave,
Youll know Im with you,
every time you breath.

Her pupils dulled,

Her hand fell,
Her body felt limp,
By the ring of the bell.

Her fragile body,

Was calm in death,
Yet everyone,
Still held their breath.

For I had not noticed,

The stars in the sky,
Had arranged into her,
As she waved goodbye.

I led on my back beside her,

And watched her shimmer away,
That story Ill always remember,
To this very day.

She still breathes beside me,

And has never tried to part,
Because we are always together,
In the middle of my heart!
