    Pedicab driver stabbed dead

    A small misunderstanding led to the death of a 45-year-old pedicab driver who was attacked by a
    Swiss knife by a fellow driver today in Tondo, Manila.

    Alfredo Abaygar, a resident of Adriano Street, Gagalanginl, Tondo, Manila was declared dead
    on arrival by attending physicians at the Ospital ng Tondo due to severe stab wound in the chest.

    Investigations conducted by Senior Police Officer 3 Paul Dennis Javier of the Manila Police
    District said that the stabbing incident took place around 7:30 am today which started when
    Abaygar started teasing the suspect named Gener Ocupan, who immediately got mad and
    stabbed the victim in the chest. The victim was able to walk 2 meters away while bleeding and
    gasping for breath before he was rushed to the nearby hospital. The suspect hurried towards Juan
    Luna Street and boarded a passenger jeepney and had managed to escape. Follow-up
    investigation on the case is being conducted and the suspect is still at large.
