Boulder bank, little rocks big rocks, snappers point, crashing waves,
getting wet, bbq, long shore drift, top course or base course, estuary,

On Friday 11th of June 2010 my class (room8) went on a trip to the

boulder bank. We parked our cars at the start of the Boulder Bank which
is at the end of Glenduan. We got into our Changing World groups then
we measured the circumference of rocks to see how large they were. We
also got to see a good example of long shore drift with the waves being
really big on the day.

My groups¶ rock sizes were about 1.50 m big and the corners were about
5m.
When we had finished measuring the rocks some parent¶s went to cook
our lunch (which was sausages and baked potatoes - which were very
nice).
After our lunch we went to Snappers Point to do some more measuring.
My group found a rock about 4. meters big with 7 corners.
We noticed that atTthe Glen we could see the top course and base course
clearly because of the tide action which had moved the rocks, plus it isn¶t
far from Mackay Bluff which is where the rocks originally came from.
When we had finished we went back to school I had a lot of fun. Thank
you to the parents who took us, the trip wouldn¶t have been possible
without your help so thank you
