To my comrades in Thailand, please, do not despair. We know how you feel.

You are in our hearts and

our thoughts are with you today and forever in the future. You have accomplished so much by what you
have done. You have faced Goliath with slingshots and you have been outnumbered by a far better
equipped opponent and, remarkably, you have stood your ground in spite of it all. You have stood nose to
nose with the Butcher of Bangkok and held your ground in spite of the overwhelming odds. You have
done more for the rights of all Thais than ever in your history. You have ignited the fire of freedom and
democracy in every small hamlet in Thailand. Be proud of your accomplishment.

We all know of the sacrifice it took and we mourn those heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice so that the
struggle would go on and as a testament to what they have yielded for all, it will. Your struggle has
touched so many people and as a result, you now have the support that was never possible before. You
now have friends internationally that are aware of your plight and support you with your struggle. Change
is here and you have done it. The source of that change came from you, the power which was always there
but suppressed by tyranny and oppression is now realized and evident. You have the power to change and
no tyrant, no military and no opponent can ever take that from you. You have taken a magnificent and
brilliant step towards your goal of democracy and freedom for all your brothers and sisters in Thailand and
in the world. We are extremely proud of you and love you for what you have accomplished.
