The most common colour of dolphins are white and

blue. They have small teeth that are hard to eat
fish, very smooth skin, quite a long mouth and
round eyes, like 50 cent coins. They have fins which
are like shoes for sea animals. Dolphins breathe
through their blowhole which is located on the back
of their heads. They can grow from 1.2m to 9.5m in
length and weight from 40kg to 10tonnes.

Dolphins eat from the sea. Their main food is fish

other seafood. Dolphin chase fish into shallow
water which makes it easier for them to catch.

There are approximately 40 types of dolphin. Some

types of dolphins are Hectors dolphin, Black
dolphin, Bottlenose dolphin and Heaviside’s
dolphin. Some dolphins are also endangered such
as the Indus River dolphin and the Baiji dolphin.
