LITTLE ROCK — The search continued Wednesday for a 74-year-old man with Alzheimer’s
disease who walked out of his Little Rock home early Tuesday morning and disappeared.

Prentice Miller of 4916 Ives Road has been spotted at various locations in the past two days,
including the Toddy Shop on Cantrell Road, a police report said.

Chancellor Hardaway, one of Miller’s daughters, said someone saw him Tuesday on
Stagecoach Road as well as Wednesday on Hinson Loop Road.

“We’re everywhere right now because we’ve got clues that have been spread out,” Hardaway
said.

Miller is black, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds, a police report said. Hardaway said
he has a salt-and-pepper mustache and short salt-and-pepper hair.

Some of Miller’s clothes were found Tuesday on the north side of the Taylor Loop Creek Bridge.
Hardaway said Miller probably laid the clothes out to dry after it rained on him and then forgot
about them.

Miller is probably wearing long johns and a white shirt, possibly a blouse, Hardaway said. He
might also be wearing a brown hat.

“We think he’s out there walking around,” spokesman Lt. Terry Hastings said Wednesday.

Miller is the father of six children, has been married to his wife for 53 years and has dozens of
grandchildren, Hardaway said.

“He’s a sweetheart,” she said. “He’s just gotten sick in last 24 months, the Alzheimer’s has
progressed and this is the stage we’re at right now.”
