METHODS The graphical method is used to find an interval where the function f (x) has one or more roots. EXAMPLE
The function F (x) = sin (x)-e^x has a root. To
calculate the root of F(x) , we do F (x) = 0, where sin (x) = ex. Therefore, the problem is finding the intersection point of the functions g (x) = sin (x) and h (x) = ex. From which we conclude that the interval at which is the only root is [-4, -3].
