days
in
country.

mission

The
Transfer
of
Authority
Ceremony
between
the
108th
Quartermaster
Company
and
the
66th
Transportation
Company
took
place
on
6
January
2010.
Since
taking
over
its
present
mission
the
unit
has
driven
over
455,549
miles
and
completed
120
combined
on
and
off
post
missions,
issued
782,
170
gallons
of
JP8
and
185,
851
gallons
of
DF2
during
fueling
operations,
conducted
a
Patch
Ceremony,
celebrated
Christmas
in
the
desert,
conducted
several
promotion
and
NCO
and
Soldier
of
The
Month
boards,
had
soldiers
to
participate
in
the
prestigious
Boston
Marathon
and
reenlisted
several
soldiers
to
date.

There
have
been
renovation
projects
that
the
unit
has
undertaken
as
well.
According
to
CW2
Sebastian
Wyatt,
a
Saint
Joseph,
Trinidad
native,
and
108th
Quartermaster
Company
maintenance
Technician,
the
improvements
were
necessary
and
much
needed.
“The
Maintenance
Platoon
has
added
a
new
building
especially
for
the
Technical
Inspection
Team,
and
we
have
also
improved
upon
the
POL
and
HAZMAT
buildings,”
said
CW2
Wyatt.

The
last
30
days
have
brought
changes
to
the
mission
also.
The
company
officially
ended
it’s
mission
on
15
July
2010.
Once
that
happened
preparations
for
redeployment
began.
