On the basis of documents submitted to this Office, it is confirmed that 'DotConnectAfrica Trust’ is a charitable trust as defined in the Trusts Act 2001. As such the income derived by the trust will be exempt from income tax under item 1 of Part of the Second Schedule to the Income Tax Act. Please note, however, that the trust shall be required to notify the MRA in the event of any change ‘brought to the objects stated in Article 2 of the ‘Trust Deed’. Any change made to the objects which would no longer meet the criteria specified in the Trusts Act 2001 will automatically result in the removal of the trust from the list of approved charitable trusts.
