At Hinksey Heights you will find an 18 hole Championship Course
and two 9 hole courses, The Spires Course and The Par 3 Course.

The 18 hole Championship Course can be described as ‘an.

inland links course’ with the most remarkable views of Oxford’s
dreaming spires. There are a variety of holes which reward the
thinking golfer.

The Spires Golf Course, opened by Sir Bobby Robson in July 2006,
can be played as 9 or 18 holes. This course is ideal for the golfer
with limited time to spare as the whole course can be played in
under 2 hours.

Set just on the edge of the city, visitors, business people and
members enjoy their game in one of the most outstanding areas
of beauty in the Thames Valley.

18 HOLE CHAMPIONSHIP COURSE

Hinksey Heights Golf Course is an undulating heathland and links-

type course. It has a series of interesting and distinctive holes that
reward the thoughtful golfer, tempting boldness with the option of
playing safe. Hinksey Heights is a course of character, testing yet fair
to all standards of golfer. Visitors are always welcome to enjoy great
golf in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with unsurpassed views
of Oxford’s Dreaming Spires’ and the beautiful Thames Valley.

Fairways and greens encourage golfers to employ their ‘Course

Management’ skills. The course provides a challenge to match the
demands of open competition, company days, golf societies or
group organisers. For larger numbers of players the organisers can
vary difficulty by means of choice of tees, and pin placing. The 3rd
hole is undoubtedly the feature hole and we recommend a look at
the panoramic views of the course.

One of Hinksey Height’s great strengths is that it caters for all

golfers, irrespective of ability. The low handicapper can play off.
the blue tees at almost 7,000 yards, the medium handicapper can
play off the white tees at 6,567 yards and the high handicapper
can play off the yellow tees at 6107 yards. Ladies play off red.

THE SPIRES COURSE

Opened in the summer of 2006 by Sir Bobby Robson this latest

addition to the facilities at Hinksey Heights offers an opportunity
to experience golf in this most beautiful setting to players who
are still improving their game and might find the main course just
a little too testing.

THE PAR 3 COURSE (9 HOLES)

Every Par 3 fairway on the 938 yard 9 hole Par 3 course is a different
length and favours the use of a full range of irons. It is ideal for the
more experienced and newer golfers to hone their skills, whilst
complete beginners can ‘have a go’ to see if they like the game
and want to take it up after a lesson or two.

Whichever course you choose to play, you are guaranteed a truly

that we have on offer. We have active men’s, ladies and junior sections
and have competitions and events throughout the year, both on and
off the course. The comfortable barn style clubhouse is open to all to
enjoy the superb facilities and to relax after a round.

Our club prides itself on being a friendly, sociable club, and has a
full events calendar both on and off the course. We host regular.
competitions throughout the year that we encourage member

Head Professional
Dean Davis has been Head Professional at Hinksey Heights since
2003. He is a member of the European Golf Teacher Federation and
a fully qualified Master Teaching Professional. He is now coaching
around 70 children each week at his academy. He holds two busy
weekly ladies clinics as well as running his summer camps during
the holidays. Dean’s diary is extremely busy throughout the week
teaching beginners through to advanced players. He is currently
coaching and developing 6 talented young golfers, 2 of which are
women. In the space of 6 months he has lowered their handicap
from 12 to 6! The other talented golfers play on the Euro PGA
Tours.

In 2002 he developed and launched the Tee 2 Green Academy

which is running successfully here as well as two other golf clubs.

Hinksey Heights Golf Club is the Tee2Green Academy.
Headquarters. The Tee2Green Academy provide a comprehensive
range of golf tuition and services for golfers of all ages and.
adults Tee2Green Academy follows a step by step approach for
pupils from beginners, to intermediate, through to advanced. Each
module has clear targets for achievement, which are rewarded
throughout the academy course. Pupils are provided with clear
steps to follow and within each segment there are bronze, silver
and gold awards.

The facilities all add to the excitement and enjoyment of being

able to learn or practice golf covering all aspects in a relaxing and

The Driving Range is all the more suited to realistic golf practice,

Junior Golf
The “Tee2Green” starter centre is one of the largest and most
successful in Oxfordshire and consists of three development
levels. Each level is rewarded with a certificate allowing young
golfers to record their achievements as they progress through.

Recently, The European Golf Teachers Federation adopted the

Tee2Green Junior Programme as their main junior development
curriculum.

Tee2Green Academy provides a perfect environment for children

This is the fun and exciting new way for girls and boys to start
