Memorandum of Understanding (MOU): IMHO Canada &
Kalmunai Mental Health Association Base Hospital (KAMHA)
RE: Charitable health efforts to serve those in communities in need
‘The International Medical Health Organization—Canada (hereinafter
“IMHO Canada’) hereby enters into this Memorandum of
Understanding with the Kalmunai Mental Health Association Base
Hospital (hereinafter "“KAMHAA”). The purpose of this agreement is
to set forth the terms under which the IMHO Canada and KAMHA
will work together to implement various nonprofit, charitable
development projects to improve and develop health care services and
health care infrastructure in Sri Lanka for communities in need.
1. The IMHO Canada and KAMHA agree to work in a cooperative
partnership on various projects throughout Sri Lanka to be identified
‘on an as-needed basis. Either partner may approach the other partner
for consideration of support or partnership for a specific project or
effort, in which case the IMHO Canada is obligated to follow its own
procedures as set forth in its organizational Bylaws in determining
whether or not to offer support, including the full application and
review process by the IMHO Canada Board of Directors.
2. The IMHO Canada, in accordance with Canadian laws regarding
charitable organizations, agrees to release funds to KAMHA, a locally
registered nonprofit organization with the Government of Sri Lanka,
only for projects that are implemented within Sri Lanka itself.
3. As the implementing partner, KAMHA is responsible for providing
periodic reports on projects supported financially or otherwise by the
IMHO Canada with details regarding progress and impact made,
problems encountered, and other information contained within the
IMHO Canada Project Report Form, Upon completion of any project,
KMHA is responsible for providing a complete financial summary of
all project expenses, along with documentation and receipts of all
such expenses, and a final project report
4. KAMHA agrees to send written verification of each transfer of
funds received to the IMHO Canada within one month of receiving
such funds,
. Both the IMHO Canada and KAMHA are familiar with
international laws, and the domestic laws within their respective
countries, regarding terrorist financing and support, and agree that

‘any project done in partnership wil be done in full accordance of,
such laws.
6. The IMHO Canada agrees to release funds to KAMHA for any
project approved by its Board of Directors, in the amount specified by
KAMHA and voted upon by the IMHO Canada, The IMHO Canada,
reserves the right to put a stop to future payments, it KAMHA is not
performing or reporting in accordance with IMHO Canada's
procedures.
7. Both parties agree to communicate reguiarly regarding projects or
efforts done in partnership and to share important information that
