AT CHICAGO'S STEVENS HOTEL, Tokutaro Kitamura, Jap- Japan's role in the world Moral Re-Armament movement' He
anesemember of parliament and former finance minister, stresses and 43 leaders attended the convention in Caux, Switzerland.

A delegation of 44 Japanese, described as the "largest and most

EMBRACES
IAPAN representative group of leaders to leave Japan since the war,"
this summer attended the World Assembly for Moral Re-Arm-
arrrent (MRA) at Caux, Switerland
After a three-week session and a tour of west Europe, the

PEACE
MOUEMENT delegation hopped a Philippine Air Lines plane for the U.S.
and toured this country before returning to Japan to spread
the MRA gospel. In New York, they were personally received
at the United Nations headquarters; in Washington, representa-
tives sat in on both houses and, in Chicago and Los Angeles;.
American MRA members were treated to lavish receptions.
Japan is one of the newest participating nations in the world-
wide MRA movement
MRA's creed simply asks the individual to observe in his daily
activities the basic tenets of honesty, purity, unselfishness and
love. It is believed that the individual's spiritual regeneration
will affect others around him, his community and eventually
his nation and the rvorld.

For three years after the end of the war he was with
Chicago's Coronet Films as a cameraman, editor and director.
He left Coronet in 1948 to organize his own compan3r, Cav-

TOTTORIDEAD.EYES
The forestry office of Tottori prefecture
has hurriedly cancelled its promised boun-
ties for sparrows (one yen each), crows
(five yen each) and boars (300 yen each).
Reason: Since the department began
an all-out fight against the obnoxious
birds and animals, dead-eyes of Tottori.
in seven months, had shot a total of 5,750
sparrows, 1L2,729 crows and 17 boars.
The bounties had soared up to 550,000
yen-more than three times the sum ap-
propriated.

U.S. Army surplus goods are being
