    Media representatives are invited to Friday’s press conference where area


    business and political leaders will announce details of the Rural Broadband
    Alliance, which will give Northwest Florida and South Central Florida rural
    counties access to high-speed internet. This project is a modern-day equiva-
    lent of the early electric co-ops that brought electricity to rural areas so many
    years ago.
