Re: Key Findings from a Survey of “Likely” GOP Primary Voter Attitudes
In
New York SS40, conducted August 10-12, 2010

Date: August 18, 2010

Our most recent poll of likely GOP Primary voters in NY State Senate District 40 affirms
that Assemblyman Greg Ball has very strong support from Republican voters in this
district. The poll also suggests that Ball is the strongest district-wide GOP candidate –
when compared to his opponent. Here is a short summary of the poll highlights:

 Ball is the best known and liked GOP candidate in SS40, and in spite of baseless
and false attacks on him by some in the entrenched establishment, Ball’s image has
remained solid over the last year:
Fav. Soft id (heard of)

Greg Ball (10/09) 57% 90%

Greg Ball (4/10 – McLaughlin poll) 62% 95%
Greg Ball (8/10) 58% 94%

Mary Beth Murphy 35% 78%

 In a hypothetical head-to-head GOP primary ballot test, Greg Ball (60%) defeats
Mary Beth Murphy (27%) by a 33-point margin among all GOP likely voters from
the poll.
