The Light Within

Caged in my own misery,

with no hope in sight,
my soul cried out,
in the darkest night,
but on opening my eyes,
I saw that it was bright,
and that radiating from within me
was the brightest, brightest light,
and now I share this message
to you, one and all,
if your soul cries out in despair,
or if your life is bleak and grim,
open your eyes,
look for the light within.
