Homework Term 3 Weeks 6 and 7

You may have noticed that homework seems to look a little different in Room 14. You now have a
choice about whether you complete homework online or in your book.

Wacky Weekend.

Web: Spend at least ten minutes playing the word round up game. Choose another game off the
literacy page to play for another ten minutes. Add your name and the name of the game you played
and the time you completed it in to the literacy homework post to show you have completed this.

Book: Complete this wordfind.

Magic Monday

Web: Choose a headline from the nz herald website that reflects something important that has
happened in our world this week. Post your headline onto the google document titled ‘Interesting
news’ with a link to your article.

Book: Choose a headline from a newspaper that reflects something important that has happened in
our world this week. Write the Heading into your homework book along with three interesting
things about the article.

Time for spelling Tuesday

Web: Go to www.spellingcity.com. Carefully type your spelling words into the space provided. Play
at least two games using your spelling words. Test yourself in the test section. Print off your
certificate (if you can) and glue it into your homework book.

Book: Practice, Practice, Practice those spelling words! Get someone at home to scramble them for
you. Then, unscramble them.

Wednesday

Both: Write or type interesting sentences for 5 of your spelling words. Make sure to underline the
spelling word. Neatness is important!

Remember to keep practicing you basic facts.
