This is a letter of reference for Petra Salazar who worked as the Administrative Director
for America Votes from May 19,2008 through November 30, 2008. This was a term
position ending after the 2008 election cycle. As State Director for America Votes New
Mexico, I served as her supervisor. I highly recommend Petra for a challenging position
in her field of interest. As an able-minded and dependable team player, she has
demonstrated that she has the skills and the interest necessary to succeed in a variety of
roles.

It is because of Petra's hard work setting up our New Mexico office that we have a
functional and comfortable work environment. Despite being in an admin role, she
performed many tasks outside of administrative ones on behalf of our organization, and
she performed them well. She took on such tasks as organizing events; collecting and
entering data; monitoring volunteers; and providing reliable support to our partners and to
her coworkers. She proved to be a capable and responsive first point-of-contact for our
organization because of her helpful and good-humored disposition.

I am happy to have worked with Petra Salazar. She enriched our program with her
positive attitude and dedication. I believe that because she is genuine in her interests and
works hard to achieve her goals, she would be an asset to any organization. If you have
