 Negligible correlations were found between and among

the variables
 GPAs of females were higher than males
 Students from private schools performed better than
public schools in the College Entrance Test

 No significant differences were found in academic

performance and CET results when grouped according to
sex and type of high school
Findings
1. Sex and type of high school are not predictors of CET results
and academic performance

2. CET total and subtest scores are not predictors of academic

performance
3. CET results are not predictors of grades in English, Math and
Science, and major subjects
Conclusion

Other factors such as motivation, teacher factors,

and subject demands come into play in the performance
of students in entrance exams and in school.
