Bheda Ghat:

There was a Lord Shiva temple about 600 years old and 5 mandirs together facing the river.

A new pink colored ghat was build just below the temple; it was constructed by the NagarPalika in 2005.
Before it was made, the ghat was a boating place in the British period. In 1862, Lord Mount batten,
Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Ganghi used to come for boating.

40 kms ahead there is a dam in Jabalpur, due to which the water level rises when the water is released
from the dam. Because of the rise in the water level a line was created at the bottom of the stone.

Also, on the top of the mountain facing the river there is an circuit house that belongs to the MP
government.

The water looked green in color, very clean and it seemed safe to drink.

There is a Lord Shivas shivling on the rock, the shivling was found ten feet under the water. The height of
the shivling increases 1cm every year.

On all the four sides the marble rocks were different in color, some were light blue and some were black
and white. Also very rare to see was a whitish pink marble rock. Bollywood movies were also shooted.

During the monsoons naukavihar is shut and tourists have to go walking.

Just 2 miles away beyond the jungle lies mining area prohibited by the government to protect the
beauty of the place.

There are two ways to see the marble rocks by road and by boat, road is used during the monsoons and
boat is used other than the monsoons.

You can spot crocodiles taking sun bath during extreme winters.

Every year around 25 to 30 people die by jumping from the cliff and in 2009 the number of suicidal cases
crossed 50 along with suicide notes.

Out of all the rivers in India only Narmada flows from east to west and it is known as Lord Shankars
daughter.

220 feet deep is the river Narmada
