MOTHER: Honey let’s put your clothes on.

TODDLER: No! I want to be naked!

MOTHER: Honey . . . you can’t go outside until you put your clothes on. You want to play outside

don’t you?

TODDLER: Outside! I want to go outside!

MOTHER: Then let’s get your underwear on . . .

TODDLER: (giggling) Underwear!

MOTHER: Honey . . . Sweetie, not on your head. Here let Mommy help you . . .

TODDLER: On my head! I like it on my head!

MOTHER: Do you want to play outside?

TODDLER: Play outside!

MOTHER: Then your underwear goes on your butt.

TODDLER: On my butt?

MOTHER: Yes, on your butt.

TODDLER: What’s a butt?

MOTHER: This . . . is your butt. See? Your underwear fits on your butt! Now your shirt . . .

TODDLER: On my feet! On my feet!

MOTHER: Ahhhhhh, no, no! Come on silly! Up and on your head. Now one arm . . . and then your

other arm.

TODDLER: Yay! I’m a princess!

MOTHER: Yes you are! Now are you ready for your Princess pants?

TODDLER: On my head!

MOTHER: No Honey, on your butt . . . Honey come back here!

TODDLER: I’m a Cowboy! Look at my Cowboy hat!

MOTHER: Cowboys wear their pants on their butt Sweetie.

TODDLER: YEEEEEEHA!!!!! I’m a Cowboy!

MOTHER: You make a wonderful Cowboy! Here . . . give me a foot.

TODDLER: Whoa! Careful Mommy, I almost fell down.

MOTHER: Hold onto Mommy’s shoulders . . . there’s the first foot . . . and your other foot!

TODDLER: I did it!

MOTHER: Yes you did, great job!

TODDLER: I’m a big girl!

MOTHER: Yes you are! Now let me zip up your pants . . .

TODDLER: YEEEEEEHA!!!!!

MOTHER: Come here little Cowgirl . . .

TODDLER: Try and catch me!

MOTHER: Honey, do you want to play outside?

TODDLER: Outside!

MOTHER: Then hold still . . .

TODDLER: Outside! Outside!

MOTHER: . . . and zip up . . .

TODDLER: Am I all done?

MOTHER: Get your shoes Honey.

TODDLER: On my hands?

MOTHER: On your feet silly girl.

TODDLER: On my hands! Yeeeeha!

MOTHER: Come here, sit! . . . Great job!

TODDLER: Look Mommy, I sat down! Did I do a good job?

MOTHER: Yes you did! You are awesome!

TODDLER: Here’s my shoes.

MOTHER: Thank you! First one foot . . .

TODDLER: You’re tickling my foot!

MOTHER: And then your other foot . . .

TODDLER: You did it! Great job Mommy!

MOTHER: You did it too, big girl. Stand up. Now let’s go outside!

TODDLER: Outside! Yeeeeha!
