Expectations always hurt

 The eyes are not the same today,

And words are sounding deaf,

Or perhaps no words are approaching me,

That I desired to hear…….

Still the eyes are approaching that shadow,

Which darkness had left alone ,

Pebbles that used to guide me,

Are all strange in their own…..

The episodes anticipated,

will always be unseen,

The places abandoned ,

Where dreams had been…

Trying to figure the impending break,

I cleaned the pile of dust,

And found that it was expectation,

That brought this breach of trust…..

With all the blurs in poignant scene,

Petered out those opulent relational sheen,

Time and inertia of rest will settle these dirt,

But one stop, long time lesson learnt-“ Expectations always hurt ”
