    Arthur John Abramoff was a First Lieutenant in the United States Air Force who served with the 21ST TASS, 504TH TAC AIR SPT GRP, 7TH AF from March 1941 until his death on January 20, 1967. On his last mission making a target run in the Dak Na Valley of Vietnam, he was hit by ground fire and crashed. He was posthumously awarded several medals including the Purple Heart and Air Medal for his service and sacrifice.

    Abramoff joined them at Kontum, capital city of the largest province in South Vietnam, in
    November 1966. Art serviced at the Air Force. He was rewarded 21ST TASS, 504TH TAC AIR
    SPT GRP, 7TH AF. He was ranked First Liutenant. On his last mission, he was mkaing a targetr
    for an air strike in the Dak Na Valley when he was hit by ground fire and crashed. On January
    20th, 1967 people commemorated Art's tragic loss and it's aftermath in a ballad. The decorations
    he was also rewarded with were USAF Pilot, Purple Heart, Air Medal, National Deffense, Vietnam
    Service, and Vietnam Campaign medals .
