Pranaam: 108 Love-Poems to the Divine Mother

“Pranaam” means “I bow to you.” This

book is a selection of deeply intimate heart-
felt poems written from 1999 to 2002, by an
American family living in Holy Mother
Amma's Ashram in Amritapuri, Kerala, India.
Amma (Mata Amritanandamayi) advised the
K.A.L. family to make a book in 2002, and
herselfchose the cover in August, 2009.
The ‘A’ in K.A.L. stands both for Amma
and for Anni, the illustrator (1988–2007).
This pocket-sized book brings to the
world new and powerful voices in the genre
of devotional poetry. The poems reflect the
universal longing of the individual soul for
Truth and Love as the Supreme Beloved.
They give a humble indication of the ideals
and Love that Holy Mother Amma both
inspires and represents.
