Saturday 11th September.

I have been living in London for 3 weeks now and it has been
an exciting time. So far I have visited Tower Bridge, London Bridge,
liverpool Street, Hoxton, Spitalfields, Oxford Street, St John’s Wood
and today I think I am going to go to Covent Garden. There are so
many places to visit, I can’t wait to explore more.

We have spent our first week at Ark Academy Wembley and it has
been great to see where we will be working. I feel very lucky to have
such great facilities. I love the view from some of the windows as you
can see the arch of Wembley stadium. The tube station is right next
to the school which is perfect. There’s also lots of buses and a train
station at Wembley Central if you need them.

All the staff have been so friendly and helpful. We are all working as
a team and helping each other with things we do not understand.
There’s a lot to learn and some of us find some things easier to
understand than others. Mr Adofo who is Head of ICT has helped me
with me computer issues. We have learned how to use the
photocopier, printers and what to do if we spot a problem around
the school.

The school dinners have been excellent. Victoria and her team get
fresh ingredients every day and have made some wonderful meals
for us. We all sit at the table together at lunchtimes, eat our meal
and have a chat which is so nice. So far I have had some lovely soups,
fresh bread, cake and custard, lamb curry and lemon rice. The curry
was my favourite!

I have seen the school uniform and it looks very smart. I can’t wait to
meet the students on 21st September. We have got another week to
prepare for then and make sure everything is ready.
