o Financial support esp for Chinese seminarians
(Php40,000 per year per seminarian); fundraising
concert featuring Chinese music in order to promote
the language as well
o Programs for our youth, tapping the energy and
expertise of the seminarians

2. Networking for exchange of ideas (e.g., meetings like this)

1.  Compiling materials materials for training/orientation: history of the
community, issues under “Intersections” ; apostolate-wide and within
institution
o can include catechetical materials in Chinese from HK and
Taiwan, if relevant to the institution

2. Create a committee/resource group on different areas of the Chinese


Apostolate (e.g., liturgy and Chinese rituals, cultural sensitivities, ethical
issues, etc.)

3. Formation program for ministers to the Chinese-Filipino apostolate


o Organize apostolate-wide “Trainor’s Training” of lay mission
partners, clergy including those beyond our institutions
o Integrate Chinese-Filipino apostolate concerns into faculty
formation in Jesuit education (pre- and in-service training,
faculty development)
