A scottish rite brace is a brace prescribed to children to treat hip problems such as
perthes disease. This brace fits around the waist and thighs and has hinges at the
hip joints. They are usually worn for a period of 18 to 24 months.

The brace consists of thigh cuffs with a telescoping spreader bar and a suspension
belt with hinges.
