In the Beginning God created

E the heavens and the earth.
Genesis 1:1 EVERYTHING
Genesis 1

S In the beginning there was nothing
but darkness. But God was there!
On the first day, God made the world

and then He said, “Let there be light.”
So there was light and darkness. He
called the light day and the darkness
night.

N God said it was good.

God made the sky. He

called the sky Heaven.

God saw that

it was good! God made the oceans, and all the land on the
earth. He made the grass, plants, and beautiful
flowers and trees.

God put the sun, the moon
and all of the stars in the
sky.

God made big fish and little fish

to swim in the waters. He made
the beautiful birds that fly high
Color the sun,
moon, and stars. in the sky.

 God said, “I will make
creatures of all kinds to
cover the land! And I will
make man in my image.”

ADAM AND EVE
Genesis 2:1-9

God made Adam in His image. And God saw God made a woman for Adam.
that everything He made was very good.

The Lord… formed man… and

breathed life into the man’s
nose.
Genesis 2:7

Then the Lord planted a beautiful garden for

the man to live in. It was called the Garden of
Eden. God wanted Adam to take care of the
garden and to work in it. God also wanted
Adam to name the animals and to rule over
them. But Adam needed a helper.
Adam and Eve were the first husband and
wife. They were made in God’s image.
In the beginning they were very happy
because God gave them a special place to
live. God wanted them to have children so
they could be a happy family.
