    One year ago, nobody knows

    Who I am, inside.

    Singing at a mirror, standing there alone

    A star in hiding, with a light that’s never shone

    Always dreaming, without reality

    Lacking the encouragement that I need.

    Most people love you for your music and looks

    So do I, but it’s my heart that you took.

    Writing for you brought out the best in me

    Your appreciation gave me the strength that I need.

    Every reply gives me butterflies

    Talking to you I’m never shy.

    You made me believe that I can be

    Anything that makes me happy.

    I’ve met so many friends, that’ll stay till the end

    For them I care, love for you we share

    Never knew how many people in the world

    Could make me feel beautiful.


    Stepping into the light, I find

    I can be myself, don’t let the haters get in my mind.
