Re: Our Letter dated September 14, 2010
Dear Mr. Greanias:
First of all please accept our sincere congratulations on your appointment as President and CEO of
Houston Metro.
‘As promised in my letter of September 14, 2010, | am writing to report that we had a meeting with the
FTA's Chief Counsel, Mr, Carter, today and we delivered our request for reconsideration of the FTA.
Dec'sion communicated to you on September 7, 2010, a copy of which is attached.
‘We had a long and, we believe, productive meeting with the FTA today. We gave the FTA a verbal
‘summary of our submittal and discussed the reasons why we believe the FTA needs to reconsider its
positon, not only in the interest of Houston LRV 100 LLC and CAF USA, but also for the good of Matra
and the region... We have requested the FTA to keep an open mind towards finding a solution that
‘would benefit ll the stakeholders and save jobs and taxpayer dollars. By writing this letier | am asking
the same from you. Very litle is achieved by making decisions without giving careful consideration to
all the possibiliies. A continued open communication would be beneficial to all involved.
| would like to set up a meeting with you at your eariest convenience to explore the avenues ahead of
us, This is a challenging time for both our organizations and we are hopeful we can work together
towards a solution.
Very truly yours.
