Peer Zaman – Local Facilitator was tasked in order to collect the data and documents for
reconciliation in the area, Barmal District. As we sent out two staff to Barmal District,
and Peer zaman was being busy with collecting documents while he was chased by
Taliban, eventually he was surrounded by them in one of the houses in the area. The
Taliban have threatened him for spying to government. They beat up and torture him
badly and as a result he has been under medication in the Central Hospital of Sharana. He
has visited 14 Shuras and the documents are still in Barmal District as he said within a
few days those documents would have to be submitted in Provincial Office.
