KINDLE CONTRACT
Borrower’s responsibilities:

• Keep the Kindle in good condition and use in a responsible manner.

• Return to Library in the same condition as it was when you borrowed it and fully charged
• Notify the Library immediately if the Kindle is damaged or will not function
• Register the Kindle under your own Amazon account to download ebooks onto the Kindle
• Do not download any objectionable materials.
• Objectionable material to be determined by the Librarian
• Delete any items you do not want to remain on the Kindle
• Deregister the Kindle before you return to the Library
• Should you irrevocably damage or lose the Kindle you promise to pay the Barnet Library for a
replacement Kindle (current price $139)

Library’s Responsibilities:

• To explain how the Kindle works

• To be sure the Kindle is in good working condition prior to loaning
• To deregister the Kindle prior to loaning
• To be sure no objectionable materials are on the Kindle
• To provide some ebooks, as determined by the Librarian

The Kindle may be borrowed for two (2) weeks. No extensions are allowed. An overdue fine of $3 per day may
be levied.
Failure to abide by these responsibilities will result in loss of library privileges.
