1. To understand and use a storyboard
2. To work within a group to shoot (film) an
opening sequence

1. You will analyse an opening sequence from an existing
TV Drama
2. You will be given a storyboard with a selection of shots
from the opening sequence you have analysed
3. In groups of 4 (I will choose groups) you will film your
own version of the storyboard
4. You will use iMovie to edit your footage into an opening
sequence
5. You will view and assess each group¶s work
 -  

 
1. You are all to return to ME1 at the agreed time
2. You should not disturb any lesson during filming
3. You are all responsible for the equipment
4. You must all take a turn at using the camera to film
5. You should use the storyboard to inform your
decisions
6. Remember, it is better to have too much footage and
not use it, than to have too little!
 
 
1. Ensure that everyone is ready for a take.
2. Director: ³Silence on set!´
3. Director: ³Roll camera.´
4. Camera operator starts recording. Film the
clapperboard, read the info on it. Remove
clapperboard.
5. Wait for three seconds«
6. Director: ³Action!´
7. Actors do the take.
8. Wait three seconds«
9. Director: ³Cut!´
10. Camera operator stops recording.
