Please refer to the case study selected/provided to you and carry out analysis
and prepare report as follows:

• Brief introduction and profile of the company.

• Brief of the case indicating main problems and unique points (key success
factors of company).

• Determine strategic direction of the company based on this case. Write


vision and mission statement for the company.

• Identify the current objectives of the company.

• Identify the external factors of the environment having direct and indirect
impact on the operations/functioning of the company. May be discussed
under separate headings.

• Discuss the internal environment of the company and highlight its main
competitive advantage over competitors.

• List core competencies of the firm.

• Prepare SWOT analysis of the company.

• Match 1: strengths with opportunities 2: weaknesses with threats 3:


strengths with threats 4: weaknesses with opportunities.

• How the company can avoid threats and overcomes the weaknesses.

• What is current/present strategy of company at corporate and business


level?

• Discuss the key success factors and weak aspects of the strategy
identified above.

• Is the present strategy well poised to match the forthcoming opportunities


in the future?

• Suggest a new strategy for company along with justification. Give main
assumptions for this new strategy.

• Answer the questions at the end.

• Discuss the terms/phrases in this case which found new and difficult.

• Any other issue which is significance and missed out above.

• Report to be submitted by 25 May 2010.

• Presentations schedules will be decided in the class after submission of


reports by the students.

• Marks: 25 (Report 15, Presentation 10).

• Soft copy of the report be also submitted.

• Copy of the case to be attached with report.
