    Huntington, NY – On Thursday, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg endorsed Congressman Steve
    Israel's reelection bid in New York's Second Congressional District.

    "Steve Israel is a strong advocate for Long Island and our region. We've worked together to put
    ideologies aside and seek sensible solutions to the region's challenges. I'm proud to endorse
    Steve and look forward to continuing to partner with him on improving our schools, keeping our
    children safe, and making New York a clean technology jobs center," said Mayor Bloomberg.

    "Mayor Bloomberg and I share a commitment to getting results for New Yorkers. I'm grateful for
    his endorsement and will keep working with the Mayor on issues important to our region," said
    Congressman Israel.
