Planning
diverse island communities exist to provide an educational program of the
highest standard that empowers all students to personal and academic
excellence while developing their full potential as responsible, productive
citizens.
Beliefs - The student is our first priority. The learning environment must be
caring, healthy, safe, non-disruptive, and fair. School and community are vitally
important to one another. All students are capable of learning and must have
the opportunity. Families are children’s most important teachers. They need to
be involved in education. The learning process must reflect our cultural
diversity. Our communities must be active in educational funding. Excellence is
achieved through high standards and high expectations. Students must meet
district standards to graduate. Students need a chance to be successful and be
able to build self-esteem. Success of students is measured in many different
ways.
