Discussion Section Of 2nd Interview

Based on the interview, 26th August 2010 at level 6, Faculty Chemical Engineering .
The respondent was Puan Sharifah Intan Baizura positioned as Senior lecturers in the
FKK. In our interview which is more like a conversation, there several questions have
been asked. Regarding through more than nine years experiences teaching in the
FKK, UiTM Shah Alam, certainly she had going through so much almost everyday
along the journey to the campus. When asked her the question of whether she aware
about car pooling. Generally, she knew about it, however her opinion about car
pooling had something differ as others. Therefore, she had not applying car pooling.
The main reason of it is inconvenient. For her, there much responsibilities and high
patience was needed to do that. As further, she thought that some persons were
annoying especially on their behaviour. In fact, if something bad happen especially
accident, or so on. She had to take responsibility on that case. On the other hand,
different residential housing areas also be one of her reason does not applying it.
Although she staying at Shah Alam, she still got the same problem almost everyday
which is traffic chaos especially during peak hours. Supposed to be her journey to the
campus only took 10-15 minutes from her house. Unfortunately, when the traffic
problem had come, it usually took almost half an hour. So, she had delayed and
sometimes being late to go to the class. From her observation as well, it is like a norm
in UiTM, Shah Alam. But fortune for her, parking lots is not being the problem.
When she was asked whether agree with the concept of car pooling can solve that
traffic problem and expenses , strictly she does not thinking so. In her opinion, maybe
a true it save money but it is not much as expected. Then, if even most of lecturers
and students car pooling, the traffic jam still the same such an everyday. From her
perspective, the number of student keep going increase year by year, number of car as
well. So, there no solution can be done according to this situation. In pleasure, she
like to give some recommendation besides of car pooling in order to reduce traffic
jam as well as parking lots. It was to held night class, and some of lecturers who do
not have any class were allowed to back early. Night class maybe one way can reduce
the traffic jam that really getting more suck in UiTM, Shah Alam nowadays.
