Malin Kundang

Once upon a time, in a forest. There were a man with his mother. They complained about
their life. The man named Malin Kundang.

Not long afterward, Malin’s mother was permitted her son to go abroad and Malin promised
that he would come back as a rich man. Malin went to a city and he registered himself to work in a
big ship. And everything changed. Malin was placed in an important job. He was a great and rich
man at that moment. That ship’s owner knew that Malin was a great and a rich man, and he asked
Malin to marry his daughter.

Malin felt it was an honor. And finally he married with the ship owner’s daughter. A few
days later, Malin’s wife asked him to go on a trip for their honeymoon, and Malin was agreed it.
Many years later, they arrived in a village. The people were very proud to Malin, because he could
work in a big ship. Malin’s mother got information from the peole who look Malin that Malin had
been returning to this village.

Malin’s mother was very happy when she saw Malin, her son. But, Malin said to her that he
didn’t know who was her, and Malin also affronted her mother by called her a poor old woman. It
was not only that, Malin also ask her mother to don’t pretend to be Malin’s mother.

His mother was very angry and also sad. She didn’t believe that Malin was very impolite to
her. Finally, she prayed to God to curse Malin turn into stone. A few minutes after that, Malin’s ship
was inversed and Malin with his wife turned into stone.
