•The Vishwas programme was to build awareness among
retailers on storage requirements for chocolates, provide
assistance in improving storage conditions and strengthen
packaging of the company's range of products.
•Cadbury also reduced the number of chocolates in its bulk
packets to 22 bars from 60 bars
•As a precautionary measure, company also replaced
questionable stocks immediately, reducing significantly the
chances of damaged products reaching the consumer.
•Cadbury strengthened the packing of individual bars of the
Cadbury Dairy Milk range by moving towards a 'heat sealed'
packaging that offered a high level of resistance to infestation
from improper storage.

• Cadbury started in 1824 when John Cadbury opened
a shop in Birmingham selling cocoa and chocolate
laying the foundation of Cadbury business.
• In 1969 cadbury merged with Schweppes to create
Cadbury Schweppes.

importing chocolates.
• Cadbury india operates in four categories viz.
chocolate confectionary, milk food drinks, candy and
gum.
• Cadbury enjoys a market share of over 70% - the
highest Cadbury brand share in the world.
• Since 1965 Cadbury has also pioneered the
development of cocoa cultivation in India.
