Affiant’s belief is based upon the following facts and information whi { Affiant’s personal investigation of this alleged offense. g a fellow peace officer of the City of Dallas, Dallas County, Texas, who personally participated in the investigation of this alleged offense, providing this information to Affiant, and whose information Affiant believes to be credible. Affiant received from: On September 19, 2018, at approximately 10:48 p.n., Complainant Eduardo Sergio Orellano [Mn was shot and killed during the commission of an Aggravated Robbery committed by suspect Dominique Mangum and four other accomplices at 3333 Webb Chapel Road Dallas, Dallas County, Texas. Detective Sayers obtained surveillance video from the crime scene showing four Black male suspects approaching the parking lot where the complainant was parked, sitting inside his vehicle. Detective Sayers released the footage to Fox 4 News and received numerous tips stating that one of the suspects is Michael McCoy. A witness, who is known to this Detective but whose identity is being withheld for their safety, avs gnized Michael McCoy and C-Bo or Corey Smith as two of the suspects iii shooter. This witness also provided information about how the offense occurred. Detective Sayers found that Suspect McCoy was in jail on unrelated charges and brought him to Dallas Police Headquarters where he was read his Miranda Wamings. He waived his rights and agreed to speak with detectives, Michael McCoy.admitted that he and the accomplices were in the apartment complex for the purpose of committing robberies against individuals. Suspect McCoy told detectives that after the complainant was shot, they all ran to their car that was driven by Dominique Mangum and then fled the scene, Accomplice McCoy gave the nanes 0f IIS :s the shooter, Corey Smith, Edward Roper, and himself as the suspects in the video and Dominique Mangum as the driver of the car they fled in, Suspect McCoys statement matched the evidence along with the statement of witnesses. Suspect McCoy has known the other suspects for some time and committed several robberies a few weeks after this Capital Murder along with suspects Corey Smith, Edward Roper, and Dominique Mangum.STATE OF TEXAS AFFIDAVIT FOR ARREST WARRANT.
