American sports are a big part of people’s lives!

 Traditions !

There are minney traditionally things

that exist in sports.
 Active traditionally things!
 In football for the Steelers American team we
swirl a terrible towel around are head.

 Basketball team Golden State Warriors we

wear are “WE BELIEVE” shirts to the game.

 During the Green Bay Packers games we wear

Cheese head hats.
 Basketball, football yay !
 On Sunday when there is a game we watch
football. Its became so popular to the point
where we call it Sunday night football which is
a tradition.
 As for basketball its became a tradition to but
on Monday nights instead. So we call it
Monday night Basketball.
 It’s a big tradition to wear your favorite players
jersey to a game and that’s for any game in
general.
 Being the sport!
 Draft night is a very important thing to watch and
traditionally thing to do for any sport.

 Seeing what goes on in sports life is traditionally

checking online, asking a friend,twitter,facebook
etc.

 Having a favorite player is a “Big” thing I feel In

American sports because if you like sports you
have to have one if someone asks you whose your
favorite player ? What you gone say???
 Origins : where it all started!

 American sports started from a lot of different

things.
 Basketball!
 The game of basketball started with 18 men in
a YMCA gymnasium in Springfield, Mass.

 Dr. James Naismith, was the original guy who

made up this great sport.

 The sport spread across the untied states and

over 300 million people play worldwide and
that starts more people to play.
 Football!
 Football started at the famous Rugby boy's school
in England in 1823.

 There isn't really a say so on who started it

inperticular but, it was known as the The ancient
Greeks and Romans started football which
originated from rugby.

 The English public schools were the first to codify

football games and that’s how it started as a world
wide sport across America.
 Baseball!
 The game of baseball started from British game
called “town ball”. It’s a catchy name huh?.

 There weren't any actually rules for this sport.

Town to town people will make up rules in tell
1845 when Alexander published rules.

 In the early 1900’s America was in love with the

game of baseball they didn’t no who the
actually person was that made it up but loved it.
 How it affects people’s lives!

A lot of it has to do with how seriously people

take sports?
 Getting involved!
 Going to games on game day is a great way to
get involved and that affects life's because they
do it every time it’s a game like “Sundays”.

 The way I get involved is by selling parking

spots every Sunday for the 49ers.
 Talking about it!
 American sports becomes a big part of
conversations “its crazy”

 After a good game are bad the next day at

school students talk to students about it.

 Some time it affects teachers lives to you can

just be talking about it and a teachers knows all
about it and joins the conversation.
 Brings people together!
 Scholarships are a big role of sports because when
your playing college coaches come out to recruit
you to a higher level of the sport which is
incredible.

 Another way it brings people together are by going

to your friends games and cheering them on.

 Then the boost of confidence you have when your

family,friends,teachers are out there supporting
you really helps.
Its fun!!!!
 SPORTS!!!
 Its fun because You get exercise which can help
you to keep fit.

 You develop your hand eye co-ordination,

team work and communication skills.

 You get to play with others or if your playing

alone it can give you time to think
 DISCPLINE!!
 Controlled behavior resulting from disciplinary
training; self-control.

 Teachs a good habbit for you to invovle your

self around sports
 Its fun because a lot of things!!
 FUN TO BE AROUND!

 FUN TO PLAY!
