'I. 'vVe recommend that you get competent firearms instruction HI safe handling before using this firearm. Please ask your dealer. Ail guns can be dangerous if carelessly used. Remember that the gun user is the primary "safety" and to depend on mechanical devices is to be only half safe.

2. DO NOT LOAD TH~S PISTOL UNTil YOU UNDERSTAND THE SAFETY.

Decocking liever:By pressing down it permits the lowering of the hammer into the safty notch without touch i ng the triger.

Automatic Firing Pin Safety: This safety which keeps the firing pin blocked wh i I e the tri gger is not depressed.

Hammer Safety: If yom thumb were to slip accidentally off the Ihammer while you are cocking it, there is a special device which will prevent the hammer from st,riking the firing pin. If you are not pull ~ing the [rigger.

3. Depress the magazine eaten button and remove ihe magazine.

4. Load the maqazl ne with the cartridqes as specilfiad above. (photo')

5, insert tl1e magazine in the receiver until the magazine eaten secures it in the receiver with a click. Avoid slamming IhE magazJne into the pistol. Handle 1118 mag(\zine c:areflJlly when loading .. Any oamaue by dropping may bend the magazine lips which can cause mlsteadlnu.

FIRING INSTnUCTIONS

J. Load the magazine and chamber as discussed in loading.

2. Grasp the pistol by the stocks and take aim.

Carefully align the front sight and real' sight so that the top surfaces mate at the lower or 6 o'clock position of the black portion of the target. Gently squeeze 'the trigger for best accuracy. (Fig. 1),

3. Check to be sure )IOU have a safe target and backstop. ever shoot at hard flat surfaces, rocks, water or anything that might make the bullet ricochet. Think about what you will hit if ,OIL1 miss ~he target,

4. The best accuracy lis obtained by squeezing the trigger 'lowly. Avoid jerking the trigger" Single Acnon trigger firi'ng (Cocking the hammer first) is the 1110st accurate. Double action firing is not as accurate but more eflec~ive in a combat situauon. Take adavanrage of the contoured t,rigger guard of the p'ilstol by aiming and firing with two hand'S .. A two handed hold yields th best accuracy and control.

1. Unload the magazine and visually check to be sure the chamber is unloaded.

slide stop/take down ~,ever can be removed from the pistol. To do this push the lever out from one side while pu~ling the lever out of the frame with the other hand.

S. With the slide stop removed the slide and barrel assembly may be puned forward and off the receiver.

6. Wilh the slide upside down retract the recoil spring 500 that the recoil spring guide can be diisengags'd from its retainillg slot in ihe barrel lug. Then the barrel may be removed from the slide for c'leaning.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
