There should be a notification date displayed on the Service Contract, which should display a date 4
weeks less than the Contract End Date.

R Maintain dates: The contract has several dates like contract start date, contract end date, contract
pricing date and others. Each date on the contract will be used to define the agreement or will be
used for control purposes. e.g. The contract start date and contract end date will be used to
define the validity period of the document. The contract document will expire upon reaching the
contract end date. It is also possible to add additional dates on the contract. For Hospira a new
date called notification date will be defined in order to set the status of the contract item to trigger
timely email notification to the sales person or to a distribution list about an impending contract
expiry.

Dates: In addition to dates delivered with standard SAP CRM, there is a need to create a new date to
trigger notification to the sales person prior to contract expiry. A new date will also be created to

Double Click on new created date rule ͞ZNFDR͟

Define Date Profile

Copy Standard Date Profile ³CONT002´ to ZXXXX, Select ³Copy All´ & Save
Select New Created Date Profile ³ZNFNP´ & double click on ³Reference Objects´ from the left
navigation pane.
Select System

& double click on ³Date Rules´

Add newly created Date Rule to the list i.e. ZNFDR & save

Assign newly created profile to your transaction type
